About the role
As the Learning and Development Manager, you will play a critical role in driving our people development strategy. You will ensure that every team member at Sticks'n'Sushi has the skills, knowledge, and confidence to deliver exceptional service, uphold our brand values, and grow within the company. This is an opportunity to make a real impact in a vibrant and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Management and Leadership Development Programs (MIT):
- Take charge of Management in Training (MIT) programs designed for internal and external managers to develop future leaders and drive excellence in management practices.
- Champion Apprenticeships:
- Act as a champion for apprenticeships by leveraging initiatives such as The Levi to create opportunities for skills development and career growth across the organization.
- Organize Comprehensive Training Plans:
- Design and implement tailored training plans for employees at all levels, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and addressing skill gaps effectively.
- Develop and implement an organization-wide learning and development strategy.
- Manage and enhance the company’s Learning Management System (LMS).
- Evaluation and Improvement: Monitor the impact of training programs, collect feedback, and use data to refine and improve offerings.
- Succession Planning: Support leadership development and succession planning to build a strong pipeline of Sticks n Sushi's future leaders.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in L&D to bring innovative practices to the organization.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a Learning and Development role, preferably in hospitality
- Passion for people development and a deep understanding of hospitality standards.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and presentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of digital learning tools and platforms.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse teams.
- Creativity and adaptability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
