Bar Manager – Sticks’n’Sushi Glasgow – New Opening!
Salary: Up to £45,000 per year inclusive of tronc plus bonus

Not a chain, but a family of restaurants, founded in Copenhagen 31 years ago, by two Japanese-Danish brothers and their brother-in-law. With a unique blend of cultures and culinary traditions, they created something entirely new - and entirely unforgettable.
We serve a unique combination of classic and creative sushi alongside sticks from the grill. After all, we’re a sushi restaurant – even for those who don’t like fish.

Today, we are growing with restaurants in Copenhagen, Berlin, London, Oxford, Cambridge and soon to be opening a restaurant and bar in George Square, Glasgow!

What you’ll be doing at Sticks ‘n’ Sushi
You’ll lead the bar with passion-crafting exceptional drinks and creating a space where hospitality shines just as brightly as the cocktails.
You’ll arrive ready to inspire your bar team to deliver unforgettable guest experiences, day in, day out-ensuring every sip, every moment helps our guests “leave the real world for a while.”
You’ll take ownership of everything behind the bar-from stock and cost control to innovation and presentation, as well as participate on developing new cocktail and beverage sales and training of cocktail sales and spirit knowledge to all FOH team members. You’ll be trusted to make decisions, solve problems, and keep energy levels high.
You will be sending out weekly reports on cocktails and beverage sales
You’ll be the go-to for guidance, support, and a little creative flair-setting the standard for what a world-class bar experience should feel like.
You will be our ambassador in Glasgow, Scotland!
What you’ll bring to us
As a seasoned Bar Manager, you’ll have a track record of confidence and hospitality excellence under your belt in previous roles.
Yet you’ve got the adaptability of water, able to stay calm, flexible and quickly respond to challenges and change. You will always keep our standards high and costs under control.
Alongside this, you bring respect, trust and generosity to your team, hearing their ideas and coaching them in their work.
You’ll be the fiery spark that ignites the creativity of your team to make this new bar something special in its own right. You will thrive on learning Japanese & Danish culture, ingredients and service style.
You’ll embrace our “big smile, small ego” and “Ja Tak” attitude.
You’ll be happy to undertake extensive training in our London restaurants.
