We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. This role is for a chef who takes pride in their work, enjoys working in a busy kitchen, and cares about quality, teamwork, and consistency.


About You

You are someone who:

  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Stays calm and focused, even when it is busy
  • Works with care, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Is positive, respectful, and supportive to other chefs
  • Can adapt to change while keeping high standards
  • Enjoys learning and improving your skills
  • Likes working as part of a team and thinking “we”, not “me”


Your Role as Sous Chef

When you are on shift, you are responsible for the kitchen. This includes:

  • Preparing food and ensuring high quality at all times
  • Making excellent sushi and kushiyaki sticks
  • Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and safe
  • Following food safety and hygiene standards
  • Helping to control food costs and reduce waste
  • Supporting and guiding other chefs on shift
  • Making sure every guest receives a great plate of food, every time
  • You will work closely with the Head Chef and be an important part of the leadership team.


What You Bring

You already have:

  • Experience working in a busy professional kitchen
  • Good knife skills and sushi-making experience
  • Enough English to communicate clearly in the kitchen
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards
  • Respect for kitchen rules, safety, and cleanliness
  • A desire to learn and grow as a chef
  • Kindness, teamwork, and mutual respect
  • A positive attitude – we support each other here
